Our Next Adventure!

Well we have some big news! In approximately 4 days we are moving to....... BRISBANE AUSTRALIA!  Daniel has signed a semi-professional contract to play football (soccer) over there, as well as do an internship with the club while he writes his dissertation to finish his master's degree.
Did I mention we are moving there in FOUR days?! We are so excited.  At the same time, I have never felt so much sadness of leaving a place behind before. England has become our home during these past 9 months. I didn't expect to love this place as much as I did. What I really didn't expect was to make the best friends we have ever had! We will miss the people here more than anything. Even though we are disappointed about leaving England, we cannot wait for what's in store for us in Brisbane.  I am so excited to live so close to beautiful beaches, and I am SO ready for some SUNSHINE and WARMTH! Two things you don't feel very often in England, haha. Since it's winter in Aus, the weather will be perfect and won't be a crazy shock to us, which I am grateful for! Though we just might get eaten alive by some crazy creature  they have there...  So excited for this new adventure!

Monaco-Monte Carlo

Ham and cheese crepes! So yummy.
Bugati!! It was Daniel's goal for the trip to see this car. Fastest car in the world.
The third day of our France trip, we took a train for about 20 minutes to Monaco. Monaco is actually it's own country, and Monte Carlo is like a neighborhood of Monaco (a very ritzy neighborhood I might add). As soon as we stepped off the train we saw well over a million dollars worth of cars drive by us. Daniel and his dad were in heaven. The Rolex tennis tournament was going on when we were there, so there were loads of nice cars driving everywhere. Daniel was especially happy I snapped a picture of that Bugatti!  We took another tourist bus so we could see the entire city/country. The city was very clean, and VERY posh. We stopped at the cutest most colorful alleyway filled with cafes and shops and ate the most delicious ham, egg, and cheese crepes. The Grand Prix takes place here, and the main road that runs through the city is the race course, so it was awesome to drive on it! Not to mention, I loved seeing where princess Grace Kelly lived and spent a lot of her time. We loved this day of our trip!

France Day Two

On our tourist bus!
The street our hotel was on. You can't really read it but it says Hotel Antares.
Day two in Nice was probably my favorite day in France. We decided to be as touristy as possible and take the tour bus around the city, and we could get on and off the bus as often as we wanted.
Seriously, the best decision we made this whole trip! It saved our sore feet from walking for a bit, and we got to see parts of the city that we wouldn't have seen otherwise. What a beautiful city Nice is. I just adore the architecture and vibrant colors of the buildings. Add in a few palm trees and crystal blue water, and its paradise! Cathedrals, olive trees, museums, bath ruins, and posh houses were just a few of what we saw that day. We ate lunch at an outside cafe while listening to a (really good) street band, and literally waited over an hour for our food (I miss American customer service!). The food was good though, and afterwards we finished it off with some gelato while walking around the square. Daniel's gelato of choice: passion fruit. Mine: cookies and cream with fudge. We rode the tour bus around the city some more, before heading to our hotel to change our clothes for the beach/dinner. We skipped rocks into the Mediterranean sea, almost got knocked over by a few big waves, and ended with a walk along the promenade to watch the sunset. We ended the day at the cutest little French/Italian restaurant with outside seating and a live jazz band. We ate some delicious food, and I got to dance with my love. It was an amazing day for sure.
